A fantastic story called “Dream of a funny man” by an outstanding Russian writer of the XIX century F.M.Dostoevsky is presented in the book.
A young man decided to shoot himself from a handgun. However he didn’t dare to perform such a fatal deed and suddenly fell asleep. In his dream he saw an unusual ideal world. Upon waking up he’ll have to make a choice as to what to do next.
The text of the story is adapted (C1) and provided with the commentaries and exercises to check understanding of the text and to develop the oral speech skills.
