This reader presents a story by the famous Russian writer of the 1st third of the 20th century Maxim Gorky.

This is a wonderful story, where the mysterious things mix together with the real life. The female character of the story meets a stranger in a park. He turns out to be a literary character from an unfinished novel. And this fictional character changes lives of other people dramatically.
