Alexander Nemerov (EE. UU., 1963) es catedrático y director del departamento de historia del arte de la universidad de Yale y ha ejercido la docencia en el departamento de arte e historia del arte de Stanford. Ha publicado extensamente sobre el arte de los Estados Unidos. Tres de sus libros de la primera década de nuestro siglo han transformado el discurso académico norteamericano: Acting in the Night: Macbeth and the Places of the Civil War (2010); Icons of Grief: Val Lewton’s Home Front Pictures (2005) y y The Body of Raphaelle Peale: Still Life and Selfhood, 1812-1824 (2001).
