ATLAS OF PEDIATRiCDENTISTRY

The aim of this publication, produced by a group of experienced paediatric dentists and orthodontists, is to create abrief guide to assist in the management and treatment of paediatricand young adult dental patients. The topics that are most frequentlyseen in this population are dealt with, such as trauma, dentalalterations, caries, space loss, alterations in eruption, and they are explained by means of radiographs, an essential element in anyclinical history and necessary for a correct diagnosis and a goodexecution of the treatment plan. Radiographs are shown that arenormal, as well as radiographs that show pathologies, alterations, orsimply a correct evolution of the treatments carried out on paediatric patients, thus allowing the dentist to recognise and identify in thefuture if the findings are frequently seen in the paediatricpopulation, as well as to visualise how the treatments and/oralterations or pathologies should look when carrying out the diagnosis by image. These radiographs are complemented in some chapters withimages that help to clarify the concepts explained for a a betterunderstanding.
