Key items covered for 2011 include: the new anti-smoking law effected at the beginning of the year; belated harmonisation of Spanish practice with EU practice in the area of property rental; and the changed status of certain traffic violations to criminal offences with correspondingly harsh punitive consequences. In accordance with readers’ requests the increasingly popular “What to do” feature introduced three years ago has been expanded and is now incorporated into the thematically relevant section. Finally the images of official documents reproduced in the book have been further enhanced to a high degree of clarity.
