Paul likes living in his house. All the neighbors like him. If his parents are away on business, he lives with his grandma Kathe, or someone else.
Nevertheless he feels alone. Good neighbors are just neighbors - not parents.
His mom often tells him "we are always there for you!" on the phone, but Paul doesn't believe her. He thinks he's an unwanted child.
